Solid fuel combustion.
Introduce “simple” solid fuel combustion concept into fire field models through the PYROLYSIS CONCEPT.
Fire field model now consists of :
- CFD component for heat, mass and momentum conservation,
- Gaseous combustion model e.g. eddy dissipation model,
- Radiation model e.g. six-flux or discrete transfer model,
- Solid phase pyrolysis model, (solid fuel is discretised)
- Soot generation and Char models

Even relatively simple models provide the means of modelling complex situations.
