SOFTWARE OPTIONS
All EXODUS products run on PC platforms.
(a)
buildingEXODUS version
6.3 Options:
- There are six software license options to choose from:
Level A:
- Level A can handle multiple floors and unlimited population sizes,
includes the movie player facility and the data analysis tool askEXODUS.
Limitations are dictated by the capabilities of the host computer. This
version does not include a toxicity sub-model and possesses a limited
capability hazard sub-model, it also does not include the ability to
produce output capable of being read by the post processing virtual
reality software vrEXODUS.
Level B:
- As level A but includes an ability to produce output capable of being
read by the post-processor virtual reality software vrEXODUS. Level B also
has access to the Integrated OpenGL 3D View enabling a rudimentary three
dimensional representation of the geometry to be viewed directly from
within buildingEXODUS during runtime.
Level C:
- As level B but includes a toxicity model that allows the inclusion of
the fire hazards of smoke, heat and toxic gases within the simulation. An
ability to import history files from the zone model CFAST V4.01 – V6.2.1
and the CFD fire field model SMARTFIRE V4.3 in order to define the fire
atmosphere. Level C encompasses the full capability of buildingEXODUS.
EDUCATION:
- As level C software however, software is restricted to
non-commercial applications i.e. education and academic research. This
license is typically restricted to recognised University and College
users. Single license, multiple license (less than 5) and class sets of
10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 licenses are available. Substantial discounts are
available for education licenses.
GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY:
- As level C software however, software is restricted to
non-commercial or non-revenue generating applications. This license is
typically restricted to recognised Local, Regional and National
Government offices and government funded research laboratories. Sizeable
discounts are available for Government Authority licenses.
FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICES:
- As level C software however, software is restricted to
non-commercial or non-revenue generating applications. This license is
intended for use by fire and rescue services. Considerable discounts are
available for licenses intended for use by Fire and Rescue Services.

The software is available on a 12 month, 24 month or 36 month renewable
license basis.

Software Maintenance and Support is also available and provided through
a separate agreement.

Incremental up-grades will be provided free of charge only to those
customers with a support contract. Incremental up-grades only cover minor
improvements to software which results in changing software from v1.0 to v1.1
for example. Major changes of software will result in a new version number
e.g. v1.0 to v2.0 or v1.3 to v2.0.

Each copy of the software will be accompanied with an interactive
electronic copy of the User Guide and Technical Manual. Printed copies are
available for a nominal charge.

- over 30 pages of Model description detailing model assumption and
limitations,
- over 70 pages of User Guide describing "how to" aspects of software
use,
- over 20 pages of General Advice and recommendations concerning good
practice and hints on interpreting results,
- over 100 pages of worked Tutorials taking the user through virtually
every aspect of software use.
(b) maritimeEXODUS version 5.2 Options:
- As with buildingEXODUS there are six software license options to choose
from, see the buildingEXODUS list above.
(c) airEXODUS Options:
- The airEXODUS software is not available to license. FSEG provide consultancy
services to the aviation industry using the airEXODUS software. If interested in

(d) railEXODUS Options:
- The railEXODUS software is currently only available in beta release. When
fully released, railEXODUS will be available in the same six software license
options as buildingEXODUS, see the buildingEXODUS list above. FSEG also provide
consultancy services to the rail industry using the railEXODUS software. If

(e) Training Options Options:
- A variety of software training options are available, including two 5 day
