SAFEGUARD Validation Data-Set 2 (SGVDS2)
The files available on this page provide all the necessary information required to specify SGVDS2 and the recommended procedures to analyse how well the numerical predictions match the experimental data. These files provide guidelines on how to implement SGVDS2 and specify; the layout of the vessel, the initial population distribution, the final destination of each of the passengers, the population response time distribution and the arrival times for each passenger. Other parameters to be used in the simulations, such as population gender, age distribution, travel speeds are derived from the IMO MSC Circ 1238 documentation. The validation analysis software which determines the validation metrics used to measure the performance of the evacuation modelling tool is also provided.1) Guidelines Document –
