High-rise building evacuation using elevators

Lecture presented at the Human Behaviour in Fire conference July 2009 by Michael Kinsey and Prof Ed Galea describing buildingEXODUS elevator model and its application to high-rise building evacuation. Various evacuation strategies are examined involving four staircases and 32 elevators arranged in four groups of 8 cars. The building contains 7840 people.
