The work programme followed in the project is shown in the following diagram:
The programme involved:
- Definition of performance and model requirements.
- Fire trials involving suppression and detection systems to generate data for the models.
- Development of models.
- Sensor research study by Cerberus Guinard.
- Validation of the models by installing the water mist suppression system and the detection system into an A340 cargo compartment and carrying out fire trials.
