SMARTFIRE CASE SPECIFICATION ENVIRONMENT

The SMARTFIRE Case Specification Environment (CSE) provides a 3D environment in which to build a simulation scenario. The CSE has a collection of configurable primitive objects that can be added to a computational region in order to create buildings, rooms, objects (e.g. furniture), heat or fuel sources (i.e. fires), ventilation as well as objects for triggering events or for monitoring data. The user interface is highly intuitive and novice users tend to be able to correctly create complex scenarios after only minimal exposure. The CSE gives typically sensible defaults but also provides extensive configuration options for (pre-configured) control of most aspects of the simulation. Once a scenario has been fully designed and specified, the user will run the meshing system to create the files needed to start the CFD simulation.
