SOFTWARE OPTIONS

All EXODUS products run on PC platforms.

(a)  buildingEXODUS version 5.0 Options:
  • There are four software license options to choose from:

  • Level 1:
      Level 1 can handle multiple floors and unlimited population sizes, includes the movie player facility and the data analysis tool askEXODUS.  Limitations are dictated by the capabilities of the host computer.  This version does not include a toxicity sub-model and possesses a limited capability hazard sub-model.

    Level 2:
      As level 1 but includes a toxicity model that allows the inclusion of the fire hazards of smoke, heat and toxic gases within the simulation. An ability to import data files from the zone model CFAST v4.0.1 to v6.2.1 and the CFD fire field model SMARTFIRE v4.1 in order to define the fire atmosphere. This level includes the movie player, data analysis tool askEXODUS and an ability to produce output capable of being read by the post-processor virtual reality software vrEXODUS. Level 2 encompasses the full capability of buildingEXODUS.

    EDUCATION:
      As level 2 software however, software is restricted to non commercial applications i.e. education and academic research. This license is typically restricted to recognised University and College users.

    GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY:
      As level 2 software however, software is restricted to non commercial applications. This license is typically restricted to recognised Fire Departments, Local, Regional and National Government offices, government funded research laboratories.

  • The software is available on a 12 month, 24 month or 36 month renewable license basis. A provision for upgrading to level 2 from level 1 is available over the Internet.

  • Software Support is also provided through a separate agreement.

  • Incremental up-grades will be provided free of charge only to those customers with a support contract. Incremental up-grades only cover minor improvements to software which results in changing software from v1.0 to v1.1 for example. Major changes of software will result in a new version number e.g. v1.0 to v2.0 or v1.3 to v2.0.

  • Each copy of the software will be accompanied with an electronic copy of the User Guide and Technical Manual. Printed copies are available for a nominal charge.

  • buildingEXODUS User Guide and Technical Manual
  • - over 30 pages of Model description detailing model assumption and limitations,
    - over 70 pages of User Guide describing "how to" aspects of software use,
    - over 20 pages of General Advice and recommendations concerning good practice and hints on interpreting results,
    - over 100 pages of worked Tutorials taking the user through virtually every aspect of software use.

(b) maritimeEXODUS version 4.11 Options:
  • There are four software license options to choose from:

  • Level 1:
      Level 1 can handle multiple decks and unlimited population sizes, can simulate list and heel situations, incorporates an abandonment model and includes the movie player facility and the data analysis tool askEXODUS.  Also includes capability to simulate vertical ladders, 60 degree stairs, water tight doors and hatches.  Limitations are dictated by the capabilities of the host computer.  This version does not include a toxicity sub-model and possesses a limited capability hazard sub-model.

    Level 2:
      As level 1 but includes a toxicity model that allows the inclusion of the fire hazards of smoke, heat and toxic gases within the simulation. An ability to import history files from zone model CFAST v4.0.1 to v6.2.1 and the CFD fire field model SMARTFIRE v4.1 in order to define the fire atmosphere. This level includes the movie player, data analysis tool askEXODUS and an ability to produce output capable of being read by the post-processor virtual reality software vrEXODUS.  Level 2 encompasses the full capability of maritimeEXODUS.

(c) airEXODUS Options:
  • There are two option levels to choose from:

  • Level 1:
      This version can handle unlimited population sizes. Practical Limitations are dictated by your computer capability.

    Level 2:
      As level 1 with the additional capability of including smoke, heat and toxic gases within the simulation.

  • The software will be available on a yearly renewable basis. A variety of user support contracts and user courses will also be available.
